Gifted children are a tremendously underserved, underfunded and underrepresented population in the United States. BIPOC gifted children too often have no representation nor gifted programming in their school district nor their neighborhood institutions. The national education paradigm for funding gifted education, especially in BIPOC school districts, funnels through special education. This unfortunately precipitates the absence of gifted educational programming.
Teachers, parents, and administrators are not taught how to identify the genius in children, therefore many gifted children are mislabeled. ECIAG will teach and train parents, teachers, and administrators how to identify, educate, and socialize the gifted genius child.
